WELCOME TO MEADOWCOURT GIN

My name is Lisa and I'm a self confessed "Gin o Holic". I love collecting Gin from wherever I go. I liken it to collecting fridge magnets from your travels. My husband despairs at my fairly expensive fridge magnet substitution. I also have been known to like sampling the gin from my travels.

Six years ago we brought our dream home Meadowcourt in the Britain's "Rural Capital of Food," Melton Mowbray. Now Melton Mowbray is famed for Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese and I wanted to add Gin to that list. When we brought the house we knew it was steeped in the history of Melton Mowbray (see our History pages for more information on the house and Melton Mowbray). I wanted to use that history and the house and especially the garden as my inspiration to create Meadowcourt Gin. We have an abundance of flora and fauna growing in the garden, things that have been here for many years, things that I've added and things that nature itself seems to have added. I have a 6ft mint plant growing in my pond that I definitely didn't put there! Using this flora and fauna as my inspiration I spent many hours trying to find the right distillery to work with to bring my gin vision to life.

I finally found a master distiller who totally understood what I wanted to create and after perfecting the recipe, Meadowcourt Gin was finally brought to life.
